Wave a hand in front of it and the light comes on, which matters when both hands are full or covered in mud. Three wide strips throw a broad, even wash across everything close in, while a separate lens sends a narrow beam further down the track. Switch between them as the ground changes. The head tilts down so the light lands where you are looking rather than out at the horizon, and the strap adjusts to sit over a hat or a bare head.
