Watch lifelike wing motion unfold without lifting a finger!
This wooden figurine of a mechanical hummingbird solves the problem of static ornaments that never show any movement at all. Hand-built from cams and linkages, its jointed wings, tail and head move together to copy the real flight sequence of a hummingbird. The result is a piece of kinetic shelf or desk art that brings continuous, lifelike motion into any room without needing glue or extra tools to assemble.
Why is this Mechanical Hummingbird Sculpture perfect for you?
- Cam and linkage mechanism: Internal cams and linkages drive the wings, tail and head at once, so the sculpture produces a continuous sequence of motion rather than a single repeated action.
- Flight data based movement: The motion was developed from slow-motion footage of real hummingbird flight, so the wing beats and tail flares follow a genuinely lifelike pattern rather than a guessed animation.
- Hand-built wooden parts: Each component is wood and assembled by hand, giving the finished sculpture a tactile, handcrafted look that differs from a mass-produced ornament.
- No glue assembly: The pieces fit together following the included instructions with no glue or extra tools needed, so you can build it straight out of the box.
