The surface is sculpted into deep waves rather than left flat, so it catches the light along every ridge and reads as texture from right across a room. The pile is dense enough to have some real weight behind it, which is what makes it settle over you rather than shifting about. Both faces are soft, so there is no scratchy backing to keep hidden underneath. A pale ground carries a faint darker tipping through the tops of the waves.
